Peerspace Announces Kevin Yuann as Next CEO

Peerspace first brought the sharing economy business model to venue rentals in 2014. Now in its 10th year, the Peerspace marketplace boasts over 45,000 unique venues with active operations in seven countries across three continents. The company recently celebrated one million bookings and half a billion dollars in sales completed through the platform, and leads the sector as its #1 most popular, recognized and preferred brand name.

As Peerspace looks forward to its next decade, it remains guided by its core mission of bringing people together to create extraordinary moments and memories. The company is focused on elevating the guest experience – moving beyond venue rentals and into adjacent categories to ensure its guests’ activities are even more memorable, impactful and fulfilling.

As part of this next phase, Kevin Yuann will join Peerspace as its new CEO. Kevin arrives with a 10-year track record of success at NerdWallet, having led them through an analogous period of accelerating company growth and category expansion as Chief Business Officer. During his time at NerdWallet, Kevin led the company to 15x revenue growth, scaling existing and growing new business lines, acquiring new businesses, managing partnerships and acquisitions, and ultimately helped lead NerdWallet to their successful initial public offering (IPO) in 2021.

Kevin Yuann

“Peerspace has been making it easy for guests to find unique spaces to meet, create, and celebrate for the last decade. The company is on an incredible trajectory, and I’m excited about the new opportunities I see on the horizon. Peerspace is where extraordinary begins, and I’m looking forward to joining the team, rolling up my sleeves and leading this brand into its next decade.”

Peerspace would like to take this opportunity to show its heartfelt gratitude to its outgoing CEO, Eric Shoup. Eric led the business through a period of breakneck growth – expanding Peerspace nationwide and into six new countries, growing revenues by 800% while navigating the pandemic-era lockdowns, and achieving profitability. Under Eric’s leadership, Peerspace was recognized as one of Fortune’s Best Small Workplaces™ in 2022 and 2023.

Peerspace Founder and Chairman, Rony Chammas, welcomes Kevin to the team and looks forward to him guiding Peerspace into its next chapter.

“I want to thank Eric for a tremendous six years leading Peerspace. Now we’re excited to pass the baton onto Kevin and welcome him to the team. Kevin’s experience growing a company of this size and his background in identifying new growth levers and building out new lines of business make him a great fit for Peerspace’s next phase of expanding beyond venue rentals.”
