Now that winter’s chill is finally departing it’s time to think about an April party that ushers in spring days! April tea parties, baby showers, and birthdays are all great reasons to party. But what is the theme going to be? Let Peerspace help with some of our favorite fun April party themes for a festive spring event!
1. Throw a berry sweet party to welcome spring
Welcome the warming weather with beautiful berry-themed colors and decorations. You can choose a single kind of fruit, like strawberries or blueberries, as the theme. Use solid-colored furniture, plates, and of course, serve berry foods like strawberry shortcake or blueberry muffins!
2. Embrace all the colors at a rainbow party
Find a Rainbow Day is April 3rd but you don’t have to be disappointed if it doesn’t rain. Instead, build your own rainbows with a rainbow color party! Serve rainbow-themed food and drinks, bring some rainbow face paint, and make tie-dye shirts together.
The best place for a rainbow party is a venue decorated with whimsical art, colorful banners, and other bright touches. Peerspace has venues already decorated and ready to go for a rainbow party like this art house in Los Angeles, CA!
3. Celebrate celebrity birthdays in April
There are a lot of celebrity birthdays that fall in April: Eddie Murphy, Kourtney Kardashian, William Shakespeare, Uma Thurman, Jennifer Garner, and Robert Downey Jr., to name a few! The party could be open to all April celebrities; let your friends come dressed as their chosen actors. Or you could choose one of your favorites to build the party theme around.
4. Have brunch at a woodland Easter party
Eggs for breakfast in the spring make an incredible Easter party theme! But how can you make the party just a little more unique? We recommend a woodland Easter April party theme! Spring flowers, rabbit decorations, painted eggs as centerpieces, and a rustic tree motif are a wonderful way to welcome Easter with your friends over brunch.

5. Dress up and celebrate Anime Day
You don’t have to wait for an anime convention that might be months away. Not when April 15th is Anime Day! Play anime soundtracks and serve snacks like edamame, ramen bowls, and yakitori to really bring the theme to life.
6. Host a spring-themed butterfly party
As spring arrives and the weather warms, spring flowers start to appear. And with them come delicate butterflies! 7. Celebrate your furry family members with a pet party
Did you know that April 11th is Pet Day? Sounds like a great reason to have everyone bring their pets over for a social mixer! You might want to limit it to a single kind of pet, like dogs, to keep things harmonious. Serve dog-friendly cake and cookies baked to look like dog treats for the humans to enjoy.
8. Honor the armed forces with an army party
Army Day is April 6th and a good opportunity to thank those who serve or served in the armed forces! The food should be tasty but a few MRE meals might get some laughs out of guests!
9. Plan a dipping party for cheese fondue day
Fondue is one of our favorite food-based experiences – and April happens to have Cheese Fondue Day (April 11th). All you need for a good time is to heat a pot of cheese. Then, set out some strawberries, chocolate, pretzels, and other snacks that go well with cheese. A fondue party can be an intimate meal with a small, circular table, or be part of a snack table where guests mingle while standing.
10. Get some fresh air at an outdoor lunch party
April days are when things start getting tolerably warm outside in the northern parts of the country. That sounds like a great chance to plan an outdoor lunch party! It could be part of another event, like a baby shower or bridal shower. Or you could just catch up after the long winter indoors with some sunshine and a nice meal together.
