Here’s How & Where To Rent A Loft For A Night

There are numerous reasons to rent a loft for a night (and by that we mean for the span of an evening, not overnight). You might be planning a photo/video shoot, a happy hour, a proposal, an engagement party, and so on and so forth. If your next event will require the use of a loft, it’s definitely a good idea to plan ahead and get the venue ironed out as soon as possible so you’re not dealing with it at the last minute.

We’ll explain exactly how and where to find the ideal loft and give a few examples of lofts you can rent through Peerspace. Just read on for all the important details!

Most Peerspace venues close around 10:00 pm local time. Event timing and venue availability are solely up to our hosts’ discretion.

Start by heading to the Peerspace home page and entering the type of event or other gathering you’re planning and the city where you’re planning it. Then, click on the “More filters” button at the top of the search results page and scroll down to the “Style” section. Under “Style,” check off “Loft” and submit your updated search.

Once you’ve done this, you should only be seeing lofts in your search results, but you can also narrow your search down even more with the many filters available to you: price, number of attendees, date of the event, keywords, outdoor spaces, interior spaces, production equipment, space type, instant booking, amenities, and more. All of these are optional but can make your search process that much quicker and easier.

Once your search results are only listings that fit your criteria, you’ll want to go ahead and look through all the listings one by one to see if there are any that appeal to you and would work for what you’re planning. When you click on a listing, you’ll find high-quality photos of the space, in-depth descriptions by the host, and in many cases, reviews from previous renters. From the listing, you can also reach out to the host directly to ask them questions or make requests.

Modern event loft space in Atlanta, GA

The hosts describe this modern event lot space as “a brand new space” that’s “the ideal location for private events, photo shoots with large props, film production or creative showcase needs.” It has soaring 17-foot ceilings on the more than 4,400-square-foot first level, as well as a 14-foot ceiling in the roughly 1,000-square-foot upper mezzanine area. Next to the entryway is a lobby with a seating area, an electric fireplace, and a smart TV. For practical purposes, there is a 250-square-foot dressing room “that rivals any luxury department store” and two bathrooms for renters’ use. In terms of its location, it’s super convenient, being in close proximity to the Westside Station District, Atlantic Station, Midtown, and Buckhead.

The hosts tout their history of 1,000+ successful bookings, including notable clients like Netflix, People Magazine, Interscope Records, Crate & Barrel, and many more. There are more than 30 positive reviews of the space, including one former renter who wrote, “This is my favorite space that I’ve rented so far. Literally the perfect space for any event. I hosted my album release show and my guests were extremely impressed with the space. I will definitely be back.”

Versatile loft with great natural light in Washington, DC

What a beautiful space, and incredibly affordable at only $100 per hour (with a three-hour minimum). The hosts describe it as well-suited to events like “live performances, photo shoots, pop ups, dinners and more” thanks to its “unique architecture, open floor plan and natural light.” More specifically, this includes 20-foot ceilings, a gorgeous skylight, stone floors, a 16-foot wall of windows on the upper floor, and original art. There is also access to a small outdoor space and even a full kitchen you can use if needed.

With all this available at such a reasonable hourly price, the more than 120 glowing reviews are unsurprising. Just listen to a reviewer who booked a Halloween party here: “An absolutely FANTASTIC space! Everything about it was great – the aesthetic, the speaker system, and the ease of load-in/load-out. All of my guests couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful it was. I will certainly be using it again! Also, having the two defined spaces – with the loft and downstairs – was really nice for setting up little activities for my Halloween party.”

Bright warehouse event space in Minneapolis, MN

This is a classic loft-style space that contains every wonderful feature typically associated with this type of space: industrial-contemporary design, high ceilings, large exposed wood beams, white brick walls, and best of all, large windows that face South and West so you have plenty of natural light throughout the day. The space measures over 1,000 square feet and can accommodate up to 30 guests at a time.

It’s another one that’s shockingly affordable for its quality – only $100 an hour, with a two-hour minimum rental period. It also has tons of fabulous reviews. To quote one of these reviews, by a renter who held a baby shower here: “Matt’s space is so energizing and full of light. The furnishings are tasteful and comfortable. It fit our use perfectly and Matt was incredibly accommodating and answered all of the many questions I had before our event date. If you’re considering this space, stop looking. This space is so lovely I wish I could just hang out in it.”
