Where is “Good Sam” filmed? The real Lakeshore Sentinal Hospital

“Good Sam” is filmed in Toronto and Greater Ontario, Canada. It’s likely they film some scenes for “Good Sam” on a sound stage. But we do know that the crew filmed on location at a real hospital in Ontario for some key scenes. 

According to Distractify, “Good Sam” was filmed on location at the Mississauga (UTM) center at the University of Toronto. A Twitter user spotted the “Good Sam” crew’s shuttle and even the “Lakeshore Sentinal Hospital” sign on the hospital’s front entrance. 

Other TV shows filmed on the university campus include “The Handmaid’s Tale” and “The Boys.”

According to House and Whips, the show’s creators also filmed “Good Sam” in other locations around Greater Toronto and Ontario.

But while production on OTH wrapped more than 10 years ago, “Good Sam” provided the opportunity for Bush to reunite with her former costars. 

Hilarie Burton and Bethany Joy Lenz, who played Peyton Sawyer and Haley James Scott on OTH, recently guest-starred together on “Good Sam”. Lenz plays Amy, one of Sam’s newest patients, while Burton played Gretchen, Amy’s sister. The guest-starring opportunity was the first time that all three actresses have shared the screen together since OTH wrapped – 13 years ago. 

According to Bush, the reunion was possible thanks to a suggestion from showrunner Katie Wech. “[Wech] texted me and said, “Hey, you’re going to get the script for 108 and there’s these two sisters in it. Should we get Joy and Hilarie to come do it? Do you think they’d want to? We’ll just make an offer.” I was like, “Well, I think they’re gonna want to read the script first, but yeah!”
