Designed by world-renowned architect Harry Gesner, the Gesner Cocoon transports guests to a different world in the mountains of Malibu. This one-of-a-kind private home boasts panoramic views, making it the perfect location for countless photoshoots with A-list celebrities, including Anna Kendrick and Mandy Moore. 

Translucency is a key design element in Gesner’s work, blending architecture with nature on a sprawling landscape. To protect the land for future generations, Gesner’s copyrighted seashell-shaped space generates its own power and is engineered to be removed without a trace. Supported by a series of elegant arches, the structure boasts two wood-burning fireplaces, a full bath, a kitchenette, and more.

Outside the cocoon, guests will find a spacious hilltop deck with panoramic views and custom seating ideal for stargazing and entertaining friends. In addition to a 1,000-gallon pool with retractable wood cover, this deck is also home to a large renaissance fire cauldron, as featured in Toyota’s Sounds of the Road featuring Brett Dennen.
